Amazing figure. Looks especially impressive when it's backlit. This is, of course, the original movie version of the Major, as her "shell" is being assembled in the opening credits. Well, it's a combination of that and one of the well-known advertisement poster art (in her kneeling position). She comes with a lot of miscellaneous small black "wires" to wrap around her and/or the base for cool personalized detail. She also has thicker tubing that connects from her chest, over her shoulder, to the base. As well as a gun which she is holding in the promotional artwork I mentioned, however for the life of me I just couldn't get it into her hand. I don't mind, though, because I always planned to display my figure in the "floating" position. And about that, she also comes with four more tubes. Two of them are the same soft, rubbery plastic like the others (so she can be in the sitting position). The other two are a harder, sturdier plastic that are intended to be what is suspending her in the air. One of them is shorter and it attaches to her back, while the other is longer and plugs in to the back of her head. The problem with those, though, is how, after a day or two of holding her up high, they begin to droop from the weight and eventually you will find the Major in an awkward horizontal position. But, luckily, it's easily remedied if you just take a thin, pliable metal wire and bend it around just a little to make it blend in with the rubbery tubes, and then plug it in from the base to the back of her head. There isn't an actual hole to plug it into, but it's easy to simply wedge it in securely under her hairline. She looks awesome once you get her and all of the wires to come together in a way that satisfies you.As for her joints, they're pretty impressive for such an old figure. Especially her knees, which were the first ones I saw with a double joint, along with a knee cap in the center. This makes her look much more realistic and elegant both in the kneeling position and the suspended position (where her legs should just be slightly bent in order to naturally look as though she were rising up from the green fluid in the center of her base). She also has a swivel joint in her lower right thigh, and then swivel joints on her proper waistline and her hips. Her shoulders can also swivel, but on her left are those tubes that wrap around her shoulder so it's a bit pointless. Her right arm swivels at her elbow so she can hold her gun at slightly different angles. And I'm not sure as I haven't moved mine in a long time, but her head MIGHT be on a ball joint. It's hard to tell when she has the thick tubing shooting out the back of her head.Overall, if you're a fan of the original movie version of Ghost in the Shell, this is a cool display piece to own. I suggest placing her at eye level or just a few inches higher to get the most artistic view of what it offers.
