This program is a fantastic compilation of hauntings spanning from Ireland to England, beginning with the hauntings at Castle Leslie in Ireland. It is believed that no fewer than 18 ghosts inhabit the castle - Lady Constance, Great Uncle Norman, Uncle Ned, and 'Patch' the family dog are among the 18 spirits who continually haunt the castle and its grounds. The castle is 350 years old, and the Leslie family can trace its ancestry back to Attila the Hun. The castle is fashioned in the Scottish Baronial style and was designed in 1870 for Sir John Leslie, 1st Baronet, MP. It is situated where an earlier castle stood and never had a defensive purpose. The country house presents a rather dour and austere façade and is sited in such a way so as to mask the gardens to an approaching visitor. To the rear of the house the gardens are relieved by a Renaissance style cloister which links the main house to a single story wing containing the Library and Billiard Room. There have been so many sightings and ghosts here that it is a common place occurrence to visitors and family members alike.Castle Leslie hit the headlines in 2002 when Sir Paul McCartney married Heather Mills in the family church located on the estate, followed by a wedding banquet for 300 guests prepared by then executive chef, Noel McMeel. This secret was inadvertently divulged to the media by Sir Jack Leslie, who notoriously remarked on live television "it's on Tuesday, but it's a secret". More recently, in 2008, the castle was the venue of the launch of RAPID IRELAND (Rescue and Preparedness in Disasters, Ireland), a sister rescue charity to RAPID UK. The event was hosted by Sir Jack Leslie and Baron Oranmore and Browne, and attended by a number of ambassadors and dignitaries, including HRH The Duke of Gloucester.Throughout the years many a famous face has frequented the house including Irish poet WB Yeats, Irish statesman General Michael Collins, Rolling Stones frontman Sir Mick Jagger, British astronomer Sir Patrick Moore, not to mention various members of the Churchill family (to whom the Leslies are related). So, it would seem, even celebrities don't mind frequenting the haunted castle and its grounds, as the spirits of the dead there are quite friendly and more than accommodating.Key in the lock of a door; door opening and no one there. Heavy footsteps heard on the flagstones, voices, whispering, and a pottery studio whose contents were completely re-arranged while no one was there. These are all the types of hauntings or paranormal events which ghost hunters at work investigate and try to come up with explanations for. No one can readily explain ghostly sightings or poltergeist activity, but this program does its best to put some plausible answers to the many questions out there. If nothing else, it gives us food for thought. What does lie beyond this life, and beyond our mortal existence on this plane?Mysteries of the George Inn: "I think I'm going crazy", if so, go get a pint at the George Inn. Frightening paranormal activity with first-hand reports from several witnesses who claim to see a tall, gaunt apparition dressed in 18th-century clothing.Objects move on their own, machines turn on while not being plugged in, banging noises, doors slamming, ghostly apparitions. All this would seem very strange, but this is an every day occurrence at the George Inn in Preston, England. The former landlord, Tom, has seen this tortured violent apparition on more than one occasion, as has the new owner of the pub. After many seances and investigations, Tom, the previous landlord, discovered a gold ring in the cellar of the George Inn. The ring belonged to a man named Robert Clay who died in 1786, and is still presumably haunting the pub. Robert Clay was accused of murdering his two young children whose graves stand situated nearby. Is Robert Clay still haunting the pub? Is this his eternal penance for murdering his two young children? Is he looking for absolution for his crimes? Ask the customers who have patronized the inn and have never returned. Ask the former and current landlords who have both seen this apparition, and decide for yourself.I think I'd like a pint at the George Inn and hope the apparition of Robert Clay appears. Care to join me?The Phantom Fisherman is an amazing program! It begins with the death of a fish peddler in 1759 in Plymouth, England, and who has continued to haunt a particular area of that city for 250 years. The phantom fisherman is still haunting one man in particular - John, the driving instructor. James Goldsworthy, the fisherman, died in his sixties, in the 18th century. He was robbed and attacked while making his fish peddling rounds. John, the driving instructor senses his home is haunted, but does not know by whom until he meets Peter, a man who can communicate with the dead. The two of them uncover the mystery of the Phantom Fisherman and how he died and why he is still haunting the area. See how Peter and John get James Goldsworthy, the Phantom Fisherman, to move on to the 'other side'. What happens next concerning the odd coincidences between a student and the driving instructor, John, will astound you! You have to watch this program. It is truly amazing and unforgettable!!!!
