This is the FIRST Southern Gospel album I EVER heard, and it got me hooked forever on the Genere! It has a flow from song to song that makes it seem like The Bishops really are just reading stories out of a book! There isn't a song on the album that doesn't seem to not be based on a conversion to Christ, and while some folks may find those songs sappy and unrealistic, it's jsut the sort of thing I love to hear! My Favorite song of all time is on here...."I Know All about Scars"....gee....my life story....this song starts off with a lone piano, then Kenny starts singing about how, though life may never be right, or fair, and even painful; there isn't a moment that any Christian faces, when Jesus isn't right there with them!"And I'm the first one to know, now that I'm a part of You. So When you're broken, when you're betrayed, when you're Rejected, when you're Afraid....when you cry 'Oh God, I don't know where you are' I feel the pain you're going through, and I can more than promise you-I'LL DO ALL IT TAKES TO MEND YOUR BROKEN HEART!" then the song ends on the same piano notes....I can almost see this being played at the end of movie credits or something like that...I dunno...maybe if you've never been through a time in your life where you thought all joy forever was gone, then this won't mean anything to ya....but if you've ever been there, it will!NEVER has any song ever GRABBED me like that! WOW...And the rest of the Album has more "Stories" just like that one... I've gotten to like lots of other artists (GVB's "I Do Believe" would easily be second on my list)but this Album is the only one I've ever heard, that didn't have a single song on it I didn't like:) I hope the Bishops will someday try and create more songs like this....if they ever sing together again...but can perfection be duplicated?
